LANCASTER, PA – Following a historic weekend at the Penn Relays, the Johns Hopkins 4x800-meter relay team has been named the Centennial Conference Track Athletes of the Week. This marks the first conference honor for the relay squad and the second time this season the Blue Jays have earned the weekly award.

Zachary Martin and
Fisayo Omonije posted a time of 7:38.48, surpassing the previous school record of 7:42.92 set in 2013 by Trevor Holmgren, Ben Press, Steve Hyland and Andrew Carey. The team's time of 7:38.48 not only establishes a new Hopkins benchmark but also ranks as the fifth-fastest time in the nation this season and the 24
th-fastest in NCAA Division III history.
Hopkins returns to the track Friday, May 2, at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.
