LANCASTER, PA – The Johns Hopkins women's track and field's
Erika Ezumba was named the Centennial Conference Field Athlete of the Week after delivering two top-10 performances in conference and Johns Hopkins history at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational over the weekend.
Ezumba repeated as Field Athlete of the Week after delivering two top-10 performances in Centennial and JHU program history in the shot put and discus at the Dalton Ebanks Invite. In the shot put, the junior set a personal best with a 13.26m throw, securing the second-farthest mark in program history, the sixth-farthest mark in CC history and a fifth-place finish. She also set a personal best in the discus with a 41.46m throw, placing fourth and recording the third-farthest mark in program history and the eighth-farthest mark in CC history.
The Owings Mills, MD native picks up her second conference honor of the season, being named Field Athlete of the Week in back-to-back weeks and marks the third conference honor the Blue Jays have received this season.
Hopkins returns to action Saturday, April 12, for the two-day Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, PA.
