CLAREMONT, CA – Johns Hopkins junior
Jay Xiao lost in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championship on Sunday to bring their season to a close. Xiao earned All-America honors at the championships and is just the second Blue Jay to advance to the quarterfinals.
Xiao faced off against 15
th-ranked Jimena Menendez of New York University on Sunday. Menendez took the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the national semifinals.
Xiao finishes their season with 12 singles wins and now boasts 34 in their career. The 34 singles' wins are tied for 25
th in Johns Hopkins history.
