Hopkins Places Three on ITA All-America Team; Blue Jays Ranked 9th in Final Poll

GILBERT, AZ – Johns Hopkins placed three Blue Jays on the 2025 ITA All-America team it was announced today. In addition, Hopkins is ranked ninth in the nation in the ITA's final poll of the season.
 
Junior Jay Xiao earned All-America honors for singles while junior Kamila Wong and freshman Ava Li earned the honor for doubles. Hopkins has now produced 10 All-Americans in singles and 16 in doubles. Li is the sixth Blue Jay freshman to earn All-America honors and third in the last three seasons.
 
Hopkins went 16-8 this season and advanced to the NCAA Semifinals for the second time in program history. The Blue Jays faced 16 ranked opponents this season, winning 10 of those matches. The 10 ranked wins are the most in program history. Three of those wins came against teams ranked in the top-10.
 
Xiao earned All-America honors after advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals in singles. They went 12-13 on the season and is now tied for 25th in Johns Hopkins history with 34 career singles wins. Xiao finished the season ranked 34th in the nation in singles as well as 24th in doubles with sophomore Lia Melvin. The duo went 15-8 on the season and Xiao is now tied for 15th with 44 career doubles wins.
 
Wong and Li earned All-America honors after winning the ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Championship in September. The pair then earned a spot in the ITA Cup and this spring earned a bid to the NCAA Doubles Championship. Wong and Li finished the season with a 19-6 record and are ranked 11th in the nation. It is the highest final ranking for a Blue Jay doubles team since 2012. Wong now boasts 48 career doubles wins and is tied for 11th in JHU history.  Li is also ranked 51st in the nation in singles after going 12-7 on the season. Her 19 doubles wins this season are one shy of the school record for wins by a freshman.
