Kotler Named Centennial XC Athlete of the Week

Kotler Earns Second Weekly Honor of the Season

LANCASTER, PA – Following a seventh overall individual performance at the Virginia Invitational, Johns Hopkins freshman Mia Kotler was named the Centennial Conference Cross Country Athlete of the Week. This is her second career conference honor and makes her the only Blue Jay of the season to be recognized twice.

Kotler guided the Blue Jays to a third-place finish in a competitive 10-team field, totaling 77 points to finish behind meet hosts, Division I 20th-ranked Virginia (19 points) and William & Mary (65 points). In her second straight top-10 finish, the freshman took seventh overall with a time of 17:16, making her the fastest freshman in the field.

Hopkins returns to the course on Friday, October 3, in Bethlehem, PA where they'll compete in the Paul Short Invitational.
