BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins placed eight on the 2026 United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) All-Region Teams it was announced Monday. These all-region teams are determined based on result and field size at each of the NCAA Regional competitions.
Senior
Jorge Gana was named Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic/South and sophomore
Neil Pandey was named Honorable Mention. In addition, senior
Alex Jeffords, sophomores
Omar Reyes and
Alex Pan and freshmen
Jamie Knox,
Josh Sima and
Noah Zeng were named to the Division III All-Region teams. The eight selections tie the school record and are the most of any Division III team in the nation this season. Hopkins has now produced 36 USFCA All-Region selections since the honor's inception in 2022.
Gana earns all-region honors for the third time in his career. He went 72-41 this season and finished in eighth place at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Championship. His 72 wins are tied with Knox for the most on the Epee squad this season. Gana ranks second in JHU history with 338 career Epee wins. Knox earns all-region after finishing with a 72-40 record and a 13
th place finish at the regional. His 72 wins are seventh most by a freshman Epeeist in JHU history.
Pandey led the Sabre squad with 69 wins this season to earn all-region honors for the second time. He placed 12
th at the regional championship and counts 148 wins in his two seasons. Jeffords earns all-region honors for the third time in his career after placing 22
nd at this year's NCAA Regional. He went 59-31 this season and with 242 career wins, ranks eighth in program history in Sabre wins.
Pan earns all-region honors for the second time after finishing in 24
th at the regional championship. He went 58-32 this season and has 97 career wins. Zeng is named to the all-region team after placing 21
st at the regional. He won 64 bouts this season, 10
th most by a freshman Sabrist in JHU history, and second most on the Sabre squad this season.
Reyes and Sima grab all-region honors for the first time in their careers. Reyes placed 19
th at the NCAA Regional and went 52-36 this season. He earned his 100
th career win at the MACFA C Round Robin on February 14. Sima led the Foil squad with 74 wins, the sixth most by a freshman Foilist in program history. He finished in 13
th place at the regional.
