Four Blue Jays Named to USFCA All-America Team

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins placed four fencers on the 2026 United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) All-America Team. Jorge Gana was named to the first team, Neil Pandey and Jamie Knox were named to the second team and Alex Pan was named honorable mention.
 
The USFCA recognizes National Collegiate All-Americans for outstanding performances at NCAA Championships. The top 12 finishers in each event, regardless of Division, are recognized based on their final placement at the competition. In addition, the USFCA recognizes the top Division III fencers in the country with Division III All-American awards. The recipients of these awards are determined by an evaluation of their regular season performance and postseason performance, including both NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships.
 
Since the inception of the USFCA Division III All-America teams in 2021, Johns Hopkins has produced 24 All-Americans. Nine of the 24 have earned First Team accolades. Hopkins' four All-America selections this year are tied for second most in the nation.
 
Gana earns USFCA All-America honors for the third time in his career. He is the third Blue Jay to earn All-America honors three or more times. He posted a 72-41 record as a senior and tied for first in wins on the Epee squad. Gana placed fifth at the MACFA Championships and eighth at the NCAA Regional. He finished his career with a record of 328-185 in the Epee and 334-186 overall. Gana's 328 Epee wins rank second in program history and the 334 total wins rank fourth overall.
 
Pandey earns his second career USFCA All-America honor after going 69-50 this season. He led the Sabre squad in wins for the second straight year. He was the MACFA Runner-up in the Sabre and placed 12th at the NCAA Regional. Pandey boasts a career record of 148-70 in his two seasons.
 
Knox is the seventh freshman in program history earn All-America honors and third in the Epee. He posted a 72-40 record this season and tied for the lead in Epee wins. His 72 wins are also tied for second most overall on the team. Knox placed sixth at the MACFA Championships and 13th at the NCAA Regional. His 72 wins this season seventh most by a JHU freshman in the Epee.
 
Pan also earns his second USFCA All-America honor with a 58-32 record this season. He finished in 24th place at the NCAA Regional and ended the season three wins shy of 100 for his career.
