BALTIMORE, MD – Three-time Johns Hopkins All-American midfielder
Matt Collison was selected by the Philadelphia Waterdogs in the second round with the 13th overall pick of the 2026 PLL College Draft on Tuesday (April 14) evening. Dating back to the inaugural PLL Draft in 2019, Collison becomes the eighth Johns Hopkins player to be selected in the PLL Draft.
In 11 games this season, Collison currently counts 21 goals and 11 assists for 32 points to his credit. His 2026 totals boost his career marks to 91 goals and 42 assists for 133 points in 59 games. Among players who have played primarily midfield during their career at Johns Hopkins, Collison ranks fourth all-time in goals and points.
A Scarborough, Ontario native, Collison was selected as a USILA All-American in each of his first three seasons; he was a third team pick in 2024 and grabbed honorable mention status in 2023 and 2025. He is bidding to become just the 20
th four-time USILA All-American in program history and the first to accomplish the feat since
Paul Rabil (2005-08).
In addition to his All-America selections from the USILA, Collison has twice earned Honorable Mention All-America honors from Inside Lacrosse (2024, 2025) and once from USA Lacrosse (2025). Collison also grabbed Second Team All-Big Ten honors as a junior last season and has twice been named Academic All-Big Ten.
