Westminster, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 win over Western Maryland on April 17.

Junior Kevin Alford (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon Township) won 6-1, 6-4 over Scott Mahoney in No. 1 singles, while senior Sion Roy (Chandler, AZ/Brophy College Prep) picked up a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2. Sophomore Justin Chan (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes) won a pro set 8-0 at No. 3, and senior Ashish Lall (Buffalo, NY/Nichols) topped Ben Denenberg 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4. Sophomore Grant Roch (Cedarburg, WI/Cedarburg) defeated Andrew Taylor 8-2 at No. 5, while freshman Justin Belisario (Los Angeles, CA/Loyola) bested Ben Graff 8-2 at No. 6.

The Blue Jays also dominated in doubles action, as Alford and Belisario won 8-0 at No. 1 while Roy and Chan defeated Taylor and Graff 8-4 at No. 2. Senior Erhan Bedestani (Hamilton, NJ/Lawrenceville Prep) and Lall won in a forfeit at No. 3.
