Baltimore, MD - The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team won four singles matches and two doubles matches to post a 5-2 win over Dickinson College in Centennial Conference action Wednesday afternoon.

The Blue Jays won their fourth out of their last five matches to improve to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the league. The Red Devils fell to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Junior Kevin Alford (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon Township) defeated Matt Anderson 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while sophomore Justin Belisario (Los Angeles, CA/Loyola) posted a dramatic 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (7) win over Greg Bertelsen at No. 2. Krisna Potarazu improved to 6-1 on the season with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Chris Beegle at No. 3, and freshman Michael Kelly-Sell (Ann Arbor, MI/Ann Arbor Pioneer) defeated Rob Isaacs 7-5, 6-2 at No. 5.

Chris Magel needed three sets to defeat junior Grant Roch (Cedarburg, WI/Cedarburg) 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 at No. 4 singles while Zack Beck-Goss bested junior Aaron Ong (St. Catharines, Ontario/Boone County) 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6 for the Red Devils.

Hopkins earned the doubles point by taking two of three doubles matches. Alford and Belisario defeated Anderson and Magel 8-3 at No. 1, while Potarazu and Ong topped Beegle and Ian Richman 8-2 at No. 3. Dickinson took the No. 2 match as Bertelsen and Aaron Sussman defeated Roch and Kelly-Sell 9-7.

The Blue Jays continue conference play Saturday when Hopkins travels to Muhlenberg for a 3 p.m. match.
