SALISBURY, MD - Chanont Vasoontara won 6-4, 6-3 at first singles and teamed with Matthew Naftilan for a 9-8 victory at first doubles to lead the Johns Hopkins men's tennis team to a 6-1 win over Salisbury, ranked 10th in the region, on Wednesday afternoon.
Morgan Macdonald and Rafael Roberti lost 9-7 at second doubles but Justin Belisario and Nick Kennedy won 8-2 at the third spot to give Hopkins the doubles point.
In the singles matches, Macdonald won 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 at the third spot and Roberti, Naftilan, and Belisario all won in straight sets at fourth through sixth singles. Kevin Ma lost 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (7) at second singles.
Johns Hopkins improved to 9-2 overall and host Ursinus on Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m.
