How it Happened
• Gettysburg took the early lead as Patrick Santini dribbled to the top of the box and ripped a shot inside the left post in the 10th minute.
• Johns Hopkins answered in the 42nd minute as the Jays capitalized on a corner kick. Senior co-captain Eric Buck took the corner and bent the ball into the box and off the hands of a leaping Peter Como.
• Hopkins outshot Gettysburg, 4-2, in the second half but neither team was able to get the go-ahead goal in the remainder of regulation.
• In the 92nd minute, junior Bryan See made a diving stop on a header by Santini to keep the game going. Just a minute later, Como made a diving save on a blast from junior Samy Ramadane.
• Ramadane got the golden goal in the 99th minute, his first goal of the season. Senior co-captain Andrew Park got things going, playing the ball to freshman Cole Rosenberger. He one-touched the ball to Ramadane, who beat Como to the ball and scored on a shot from the top of the box.
