- After struggling to solve Bethel starting pitcher Tyler Heitmann for seven innings, the Hopkins bats finally came alive in the top of the eighth. After singles from Raul Shah, Daniel Albert and Mike Smith, Weaver played the role of hero with another clutch two-out extra-base hit. The senior captain hit his second home run of the season to give Hopkins its first lead of the game, 6-4.
- Bethel cut the JHU lead in half during the bottom of the eighth when Meyer ledoff with a walk and came around to score on a wild pitch before Alex Ross came in to get the last out of the inning.
- The Jays added a pair of insurance runs in the top of the ninth when Albert sent a pitch well over the right field wall for a two-run home run.
- Ross pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his first-career save.

JHU Highlights:
