GREENSBORO, NC – Johns Hopkins head coach
Nate Mulberg earned major recognition this week, being named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Region V Coach of the Year, sponsored by ATEC, announced Tuesday.
The honor adds to an already decorated debut season for Mulberg, who was also named the D3baseball.com Region V Coach of the Year. In his first year at the helm, he guided the Blue Jays to a 38-12 overall record and a 13-5 mark in Centennial Conference play.
Under Mulberg's leadership, Johns Hopkins captured its 20th conference title—and fourth straight—alongside its ninth NCAA Regional championship and fourth Super Regional title. The campaign culminated in the program's eighth NCAA Division III World Series appearance.
The team's collective success was matched by a wave of individual honors. Under Mulberg's watch this season, the Blue Jays racked up one All-American nod, one CSC Academic All-American title, five CSC Academic All-District selections, 11 All-Region honors, one All-Defensive spot and six All-Conference selections.
