• Ross struck out 12, including 10 in the first sixth innings, facing the minimum number of batters. Carrying a no-hitter on 91 pitches into the eighth inning, Ross surrendered a home run to the first batter he faced in the eighth inning, Sheridan. The southpaw only walked one batter through the first seven innings before giving up walks to the final two batters he faced.
• Tim Kutcher notched the first hit for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the third inning with a two-out double to left field. JHU carried the momentum into the fourth inning. Conor Reynolds walked before Joe Conlon singled to center field. Alex Darwiche was hit by a pitch to load the bases as Albert stepped up to the plate. Albert knocked the ball out of the park for the grand slam, his first home run of the season.
• Hopkins added to its lead in the fifth inning, DH Mike Eberle hit a triple to center field, and Brian Lin hit the sacrifice fly to send him home, increasing the score to 5-0.
• In addition to Sheridan's home run, the Panthers added a pair of runs in the ninth inning. OW hit a couple of singles before an error loaded the bases. Sheridan sent up a sacrifice fly before an RBI double by Lao brought about the final score of 5-3.
