Inside the Box Score
Ross Report

• Ross struck out 14 in today's game, topping his previous career best of 13. The southpaw is the first JHU player to ever record at least 12 strikeouts in three games, and he's done so in three consecutive starts.
• The junior is the first to strike out 14 for the Blue Jays since Joe Zaccaria in 2008.
Home Run Celebration
• Two Blue Jays hit two RBI home runs in the 5-0 first game win over Swarthmore. Dillon Bowman hit the ball out of the park for the second time in his career, knocking it over the right field fence onto University Parkway in the bottom of the fifth.
• Jon Hayden followed suit with a home run in the bottom of the eighth. Hayden's homer was his third hit of the game and first career home run.
• This marked the second three-hit game of Hayden's career. Heading into today's meeting with Swarthmore, the senior had four hits on the season and only six extra base hits in his career.
• In the 5-4 second game win over the Garnet, Alex Darwiche hit his first home run of the season, becoming the 11th Blue Jay to homer in 2017. Darwiche stepped up to the plate with bases loaded in the bottom of third, but a wild pitch from Ryan Warm sent Conor Reynolds home.
• With two on and two outs, Darwiche knocked the ball over the left field fence for the three RBI home run.
