• After a three up, three down first inning by the Blue Jays, Gettysburg took a 4-0 lead off four hits in the first inning. Trailing 4-0, the Blue Jay bats came alive in the top of the sixth inning. Tommy Mee worked a walk and advanced to second on a passed ball. Brian Lin also reached first on a walk, and Mike Smith singled to center field to load the bases with one out. Orgielewicz hit a single to right field, driving in Mee. Alex Darwiche was hit by a Stopyra pitch, sending Lin home and prompting the Bullets to make a change, and Wortmann entered the game for Gettysburg. Daniel Albert sent up a sacrifice fly to allow Smith to score before an RBI single by Mike Eberle, his third single in three at-bats, tied the score, 4-4.
• Sean McCracken took over pitching duties for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the sixth, and the Bullets went three up, three down, as McCracken struck out a pair. Hopkins took the lead in the top of the seventh inning. Conor Reynolds hit a single, then was out at second as Lin reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to second on a throwing error by shortstop Giovinco. Smith hit an RBI single, his third hit of the game, to drive in Lin for the JHU lead, 5-4.
• After McCracken faced the minimum number of batters in the seventh inning, the Bullets hit a single and a two-out RBI double to tie the score, 5-5. McCracken struck out Giovinco to close out the inning.
• In the top of the ninth inning, Orgielewicz hit a one-out home run over the left field fence, returning the lead to the Blue Jays, 6-5. McCracken silenced the Bullets in the final inning, striking out a pair of pinch hitters before striking out Cubell for his eighth strikeout on the day.
