? The Short Story: The 20th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team lost a total of just five games in a 9-0 win Wednesday over visiting McDaniel.

How it Happened
? The Blue Jay doubles teams did not drop a game as each pair went 8-0 to give Hopkins a quick 3-0 lead in the match. Seniors Mike Buxbaum and Jeremy Dubin beat Corey Glocker and Andrew Kendrick at first. Junior Justin Kang and senior Emerson Walsh defeated Will Giles and Tate Myers at second. Freshman Austin Gu and junior David Perez won at third over Nick Reed and Carter Trousdale.
? In singles play, Gu and freshman Cody Kim needed the minimum 12 games to win. Gu clinched the win for the Blue Jays with his victory over Aidan Finnerty at sixth, while Kim beat Trousdale at fourth.
? Dubin lost just one game in his win over Glocker 6-0, 6-1 at second. Perez also lost just one game as he defeated Kendrick 6-1, 6-0 at third. Kang won by the same score at fifth over Myers. Buxbaum dropped a pair of games as he won 6-1, 6-1 over Giles at first.

? Hopkins improves to 65-11 all-time against McDaniel and has won 21 straight in the series.
? The Blue Jays ran their season-opening win streak to six, one shy of the school record.
