? The Short Story: The 20th-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team beat host Muhlenberg, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon for its seventh straight win.
How it Happened
? Hopkins wasted little time in taking a 3-0 lead over the home team as the Blue Jays lost just two games in sweeping the three doubles matches.
? Seniors Mike Buxbaum and Jeremy Dubin beat Mickey Schindler and David Woods, 8-1, at first. Senior Emerson Walsh and junior Justin Kang did not drop a game as they beat Steven Shoemaker and Jon Yandle at second. Sophomore Scott Thygesen and junior David Perez beat Alex Dagilis and Andrew Natko, 8-1, at third.
? In singles, the Blue Jays swept all six matches in straight sets and lost a total of just 10 games.
? Buxbaum played the minimum 12 games as he defeated Schindler at first. Walsh did the same in his win over Shoemaker at fifth. Freshman Cody Kim also did not lose a game as he beat Evan Johannet at sixth.
? Dubin won 6-3, 6-0 over Woods at second and Thygesen won 6-1, 6-2 over Nicholas Oliveti at third. Perez defeated Dagilis 6-3, 6-1 at fourth.

? Hopkins improves to 20-1 all-time against Muhlenberg and has won 14 straight in the series.
? The Blue Jays have now won seven straight, with three straight shutouts. That ties the school record for consecutive wins to start the season.
