• The Short Story: Junior Shivani Bisen earned her 100^th career in and the Johns Hopkins women's fencing team won its three matches at Haverford's Dan Arnstein '09 Invitational.
 
How it Happened
• Hopkins opened the day by sweeping all three weapons en route to a 24-3 win over Navy. Junior Erin Chen and freshman Cherlin Zhu and Cecilia Taylor combined to lead the Sabre squad to a 9-0 win. Bisen, senior Jaynie Criscione and junior Jiawen Zeng each went 2-1 for the Epee squad. Bisen's first win of the day was the 100^th of her career. Seniors Rebecca Rosenthal and Kiera Wolfe and freshman Erika Wong each went 3-0 for the Foil squad.
• The Blue Jays then grabbed wins in the Sabre (9-0) and Foil (8-1) in their win over the host Fords. Chen, Taylor and senior Maggie Vitale combined to go unbeaten in the Sabre. The Epee squad dropped a tough 5-4 decision, with sophomore Shaina Morris winning two of her three bouts. Freshman Miya Herman led the Foil squad as she won all three of her bouts.
• Hopkins swept all three weapons to end the day with a win over William & Mary. Taylor, Vitale and Zhu combined to go 9-0 for the Sabre squad, which finished the day undefeated. Bisen won her three bouts to lead the Epee squad to a 6-3 win. Wolfe went undefeated (3-0) for the second time on the day to lead the Foil squad to an 8-1 win.
 
What it Means
• Bisen becomes the 14^th Epeeist in program history to win 100 bouts. She now has 105 career wins and ranks 11^th. Morris ranks 10^th in program history with 116 career Epee wins.
• Junior Katherine Xiang won three bouts on the day and now has 199 career Foil wins. Rosenthal won five bouts and now has 197 career Foil wins. Xiang ranks fourth in program history, while Rosenthal ranks fifth.
• Chen finished the day with six wins and now counts 236 in her career. She ranks third in school history in Sabre wins and needs eight to rank second and just 10 to tie Katherine Simeon's all-time record.
