The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team sent four teams to nearby Loyola for the Greyhounds Men's Tennis Classic. Three of those teams are still alive on the championship side of the bracket after day one.

How it Happened
• The invitational will be played as a Points of the Compass draw. At the end of each round, the winners continue their competition in the same direction, while the losers move to a traditional consolation bracket and then to satellite brackets that ensure each team will play four matches. The teams will play an eight-game pro-set doubles match, and the individuals will then face each other in best-of-three formats with the third set played as a super-tiebreaker.
