How it Happened • Championship Singles
• Joshi, seeded third in the draw, opened the day with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Kukutla Motlojoa (Southern Virginia). He then defeated fifth-seeded Ian Siew (Salisbury) 6-0, 7-5 to advance to Sunday's semifinal.
• Seeded ninth in the draw, Gu beat fifth-seeded Marcos Dias (Southern Virginia) 6-3, 7-6 (3) to advance to the quarterfinals. He then lost to fourth-seeded Revanth Boppanoa (Carnegie Mellon) 2-6, 6-2, 7-5.
• Junior
Matt Lurie fell to fifth-seeded Harison Hunter (Christopher Newport) 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the round of 16.

How it Happened • Championship Doubles
• The top seed in the draw, Cartledge and Gu beat Patrick MacLean and Matthew Ryan (Salisbury) 8-5. They then bested ninth-seeded John Rudden and Harry Shepherd (Washington & Lee) 8-7 (2) to advance to the semifinals.
• Joshi and Vasan, seeded ninth, opened with an 8-2 win over fifth-seeded Jiung Jung and John Lathrop (Swarthmore). They then beat Matthew Fontanese and Mason Groff (Ursinus) by the same score. The Blue Jay duo then advanced to the finals when their semifinals opponent withdrew.

• The ITA Southeast Championship will conclude on Sunday, October 5. The singles semifinals are set to begin at 8:00 am while the doubles semifinals are slated for a 9:30 am start. Â
