LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins senior
Carly Lupton-Smith has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year it was announced today. Meg Van de Loo was the last Blue Jay named Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete in 2016.
Four other Blue Jays joined Lupton-Smith on the Academic All-Centennial Team while 20 Blue Jays were named to the Academic Honor Roll. The Blue Jays placed 16 members on the 2018 Academic Honor Roll and three on the 2018 Academic All-Centennial Team.
The Scholar-Athlete of the Year is awarded in each sport to a member of the junior or senior class with the highest cumulative GPA on the All-Centennial Team. To be nominated for the Academic All-Centennial Team a student-athlete must receive both All-Conference and Academic Honor Roll honors. To be nominated for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 or higher.
Lupton-Smith caps off an impressive career with another honor, as the Cary, NC native holds a 3.98 GPA with majors in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Psychology. Joining Lupton-Smith on the Academic All-Centennial Team are senior
