LANCASTER, PA – The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team has been picked to repeat as Centennial Conference champions in a preseason vote of the conference's coaches. The Blue Jays have won 12 straight Centennial Conference championships and 13 overall since 2005.
Hopkins received nine first-place votes and a total of 81 points to grab the top spot in the poll. Swarthmore earned one first-place vote and 73 points to come in second in the poll. Haverford (60 points), Franklin & Marshall (52) and Washington College (49) round out the top five.
Hopkins went 19-4, including 9-0 in the conference, last season and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the 10
th straight time. The Blue Jays return All-American
Vishnu Joshi as well as all-conference picks

Alex Matisse and
Vik Vasan from last year's squad. Hopkins will open the season on Saturday, February 23 versus NC Wesleyan (11 am) in Newport News, VA.
