Austin Gu has been named the Centennial Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week it was announced today. This is his second conference honor this season and third of his career.
Gu led Hopkins to a 7-2 win over 23rd-ranked Bates in the Blue Jays' only match of the week. He won 8-3 at first doubles and then clinched Hopkins' win with a 6-0, 6-3 win at third singles. Gu boasts a 7-2 record in singles and 8-3 in doubles. Hopkins is 4-2 on the season and opens Centennial Conference play on Saturday versus Ursinus.
