Nate Davis Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week

Davis Belted Five Home Runs and Knocked in 10 Runs During the Week

LANCASTER, PA – Nate Davis of the Johns Hopkins baseball team was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career as the junior hit five home runs and knocked in 10 runs as the Blue Jays went 3-2 during the week.
 
Davis belted five home runs with two doubles while hitting .409 during the week. Against Penn State Harrisburg on Sunday, Davis hit the game-tying solo home run in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra innings. He also went yard in the 10th inning with a two-run shot to once again tie the game. The Ashburn, Va. native hit a home run in four of the Blue Jays' five contests and finished the week with 10 RBIs as he now has a career-high 23 so far this season. Davis tallied three multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games and slugged 1.182 overall for the week. 
 
Davis is now tied for the conference lead in home runs as he has hit a career-best eight this season. His 23 RBIs ties him for third most on the team while his .311 batting average is the third highest on the squad.
 
The Blue Jays return to action tomorrow, April 16 as they will host Washington College in a Centennial Conference matchup at Babb Field. First pitch is scheduled for 5 pm.
