Jeanne Kachris earned all-conference honors for the Blue Jays.
In addition, junior
Lexi Souder was named to the Big Ten's Sportsmanship Team. The student-athletes selected for the Sportsmanship Award are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, the student-athletes must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
Hopkins has now produced nine all-conference players in just three seasons in the Big Ten. Kachris is the first Blue Jay to repeat as an All-Big Ten selection and is the first multiple all-conference selection since Taylor D'Amore, Sammy Cermack and Dene' DiMartino repeated as All-American Lacrosse Conference honorees in 2014.
A two-year starter, Kachris has anchored the Blue Jay defense the last two years. She has totaled 27 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers and is the team's top match-up defender on a team that ranks third in the Big Ten in scoring defense (11.29). JHU also ranks second in the conference in caused turnovers (9.82) and fourth in ground balls (17.82).
Schneidereith leads the Blue Jays with a career-best 47 goals, 28 assists and 75 points. Her point and goal totals are the highest by a Blue Jay since D'Amore had 105 and 52, respectively, in 2014. Schneidereith ranks third in the Big Ten in goals, first in assists and second in points. She already ranks eighth in school Division I history in career points (176), 11
th in career goals (106) and fifth in assists (70).
McNulty has made an immediate impact in her first season with the Blue Jays. A two-way middie, she has totaled 37 goals, 42 points, 60 draws, 28 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers. McNulty is second on the team in goals and draws, third in ground balls and fourth in points and ground balls. She also ranks eighth in the Big Ten in draws and 10
th in goals. Her 60 draws are the seventh highest total in school DI history.
