Johns Hopkins Baseball To Play Babson in the Opening Round of the College World Series

The Two Teams will play at 4:30 CT on Friday, May 31

BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins baseball team will open up the Division III College World Series on Friday, May 31 at 4:30 pm central time against Babson (38-8) as the NCAA released the complete eight-team bracket today at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, IA. 
 
The other two teams included in the JHU (34-11) bracket are Birmingham-Southern who sports a 39-13 record and Heidelberg who enters the World Series with a 35-13 record. The four teams will play a double-elimination format with the winner advancing to the best-of-three series for the National Championship. The other four teams competing for the championship are Chapman, Washington & Jefferson, Webster and UMass Boston.
 
JHU has only faced Heidelberg in the World Series as the Blue Jays fell to the Student Princes 3-2, in 2010 in Grand Chute, WI.
