Jimmy Stevens has been named to the ABCA/Rawlings Region V All-Defensive Team, the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced Thursday. Stevens becomes the first Blue Jay in program history to earn the honor since its inception in 2023.
Stevens received his first career All-Defensive honor after a dominant stretch in conference play. In league action, he led the team with 51 assists and posted a .989 fielding percentage, while also turning 11 double plays with just one error being credited to the New Albany, OH native.
The graduate student was among the team's defensive leaders, tying for a team-low five errors–an infield best–and contributing a team-high 112 putouts, playing a key role in turning 24 double plays.
