How it Happened
• Hopkins opened the day with a 22-5 win over Haverford. The Foil squad pulled out a 5-4 win, led by freshman
Alexandra McDonald and junior
Brooke Stanicki's two wins each. Freshmen
Alexandra Szewc and
Rachel Zhang each won three bouts to lead the Epee squad to an 8-1 win. And the Sabre squad did not drop a bout, thanks to Tomaszewski, junior
Rebecca Zhou and sophomore
Cherlin Zhu.
• The Blue Jays won by the same score over the Wagner Seahawks. The Foil squad won 8-1 behind three wins from MacDonald. This time it was the Epee squad with the close win, led by senior
Shivani Bisen and junior
Shaina Morris' combined four wins. The Sabre squad again went unbeaten, with three wins each from Tomaszewski and senior
Erin Chen.
• JHU followed with another 22-5 win, this time over Sacred Heart. Stanicki and sophomores
Miya Herman and
Erika Wong combined for a 9-0 win for the Foil squad. Bisen, Morris and Zhang won two bouts each and the Epee squad won 6-3. Chen won all three of her bouts to lead the Sabre squad to a 7-2 win.
• Hopkins then defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, 24-3. The Foil squad went unbeaten for the second straight round, led by Wong and McDonald with three wins each. Bisen, Morris and Szewc earned two wins each as the Epee squad won 6-3. And the Sabre squad picked up its third unbeaten round due to Zhou, Tomaszewski and Zhu.
• JHU picked up a 21-6 win over NJIT for its fifth win of the day. The Foil squad went unbeaten for the third straight round, led by McDonald, Stanicki and Herman. Szewc, Zhang and Morris each won two bouts and the Epee squad earned a 6-3 win. Zhou, Tomaszewski and Chen did the same for the Sabre squad.
• The Blue Jays wrapped up the day and the sweep with a 21-6 win over the NYU Violets. McDonald and Stanicki won three bouts apiece to lead the Foil squad to an 8-1 win. Szewc and Zhang each won two to lead the Epee squad to a close 5-4 win. Tomaszewski and Chen each won three bouts to lead the Sabre squad to an 8-1 win.

What it Means
• Tomaszewski's 15
th and final win of the day gave her 200 for her career. She now ranks 13
th in school history, among all weapons, and fifth in the Sabre.
• Both Stanicki and Zhou eclipsed 150 career wins with 13 and 14 wins, respectively. Â
