The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's swim team wrapped up the Ohio State Winter Invitational with nine NCAA B times and a freshman record.

Top Finishers
• Hopkins opened the day with four swimmers in the 1650 Free with all four posting NCAA B times. Sophomore
Mitchell Simmons led the way a second-place finish and a time of 16:00.97. Freshman
Alec Caswell clocked in at 16:07.67 for fourth, while junior
CJ Arena took fifth in 16:12.14. Junior
Riley Mears finished in seventh place as he touched in 16:13.10.
• Freshman
Spencer Ryan then took seventh in the 100 Free with a time of 46.72. Junior
Dillon De Priest placed ninth in 49.57.
• Junior
Noah Frassrand won the A final of the 200 Breast as he clocked in at 2:00.65, the fifth fastest time in program history. Freshman
Brandon Stride finished in fourth place with a time of 2:02.50. Both Frassrand and Stride's times are NCAA B times. Senior
Jasper Van Cauwelaert placed eighth (2:08.44) and freshman
Steven Rua took ninth (2:08.65). In the morning prelim, freshman
Tristan Lin broke the freshman record and posted an NCAA B time with a 2:00.34.
• In the 200 Fly, senior
Matthew Garza placed fifth in 1:53.60, while Arena finished in sixth (1:57.31).
• Hopkins then took second place in the 400 Free Relay as Lin, junior
Matt McGough, sophomore
Jeff Vitek and junior
Nat Davenport posted an NCAA B time of 3:01.47.
• In the 200 Free time trial, Simmons turned in an NCAA B time of 1:39.82.
