| Box Score 4 ROME, GA – Johns Hopkins sophomore Thomas Yu lost his first round match at the 2021 ITA Cup on Thursday. He is the fifth Blue Jay to compete at the ITA's national championship in singles since 2011.
 
Yu faced Jhonny Acosta of NC Wesleyan in the round of 16 and fell 6-2, 6-2. Acosta would advance all the way to the semifinals. In the consolation draw, he picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win over Yudai Teruyama of RPI. Yu then defeated John Zakowski of UW-Whitewater 6-2, 6-0.
 
Yu finishes the fall with an 11-3 record in singles and ITA All-America honors.
