LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins baseball was picked atop the Centennial Conference preseason poll it was announced this morning. The Blue Jays received seven first-place votes to earn 49 total points in the poll.
Hopkins went 12-3 in the truncated 2020 season, finishing the year with a win over Plymouth State just over a full year ago. The Jays will play a 14-game conference-only schedule in 2021.
Franklin & Marshall finished second in the 2021 poll, earning 39 points including the final first-place vote. Washington College (36), Dickinson (25) and Muhlenberg (24) rounded out the top-five.
Hopkins' season kicks off this Saturday at Franklin & Marshall. The Jays and the Diplomats will play a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m.
