TICKET PUNCHED! Blue Jays Claim 16th Centennial Championship To Earn NCAA Berth

The Johns Hopkins baseball program claimed its 16th Centennial Conference title with a Franklin & Marshall loss on Saturday evening. The Blue Jays finished their conference-only schedule last Saturday, May 1st, with a record of 11-3. Going into Saturday's doubleheader with Dickinson, Franklin & Marshall needed to win both games to earn the automatic bid into the NCAA's and a Centennial Conference title. However, after winning game one by a score of 2-1, the Diplomats fell to the Red Devils in game two to finish the season at 10-4.

As of writing, Johns Hopkins is one of six teams currently locked into this year's 45-team field. The Blue Jays will make their 24th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and 23rd under longtime head coach Bob Babb. The Blue Jays will find out more information when the NCAA Division III baseball selection show will air on Sunday, May 23rd sometime prior to midnight. Regionals are slated for May 27-31 with host sites still undecided. For more information on the 2021 DIII Tournament, head here.
