BALTIMORE, MD – The 14
th-ranked Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team has earned an at-large bid to the 2021 NCAA Lacrosse Championship. Hopkins will travel to Chapel Hill, NC to face 20
th-ranked James Madison on Friday, May 14. The winner will then take on host and top-seeded North Carolina on Sunday, May 16.
Hopkins (8-6) and James Madison (11-4) will meet for just the second time in program. The two last met in 2004 in the Blue Jays' first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance as a Division I program. The Dukes won that meeting, 14-9, at home.
Hopkins is making its third consecutive and ninth overall NCAA Tournament appearance since moving to Division I in 1999. The Blue Jays have been to six of the last seven NCAA Tournaments, with three trips to Chapel Hill.

Trinity McPherson (36 GB, 29 CT) and
Annika Meyer (40 GB, 27 CT) along with Big Ten Goalie of the Year,
Kathleen Garvey (11.29 GAA, .436 SV%) anchor the defense.
James Madison earned an automatic bid to the tournament after winning its fourth straight CAA Championship. Isabella Peterson leads the Dukes with 41 goals and 52 points and is second with 38 draw controls. Kacey Knobloch has a team-best 20 assists and is second with 25 goals and 45 points. Molly Dougherty boasts an 8.44 goals against average and .525 save percentage, which ranks in the top-10 in the nation.
