BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's swim team picked up 369 points and sits in second place after day one of the Thomas Murphy Invitational. Host Loyola is in first place with 426 points and Towson is in third with 352 points.
Hopkins kicked off the first evening session with fourth and fifth-place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay. Seniors

Kyle Wu followed with a win, and an NCAA B time, in the 200 IM. He beat the field to the wall with a time of 1:50.51. Rua finished in sixth with a time of 1:52.92. Lloyd and sophomore
Joe Castagno tied for seventh in 1:53.04.
Clapp placed fifth in the 50 Free as he finished in 21.00. Mayr took eighth place with a time of 21.42 and Ryan followed just four-hundredths of a second later for ninth place. The Blue Jays wrapped up day one with third and fifth-place finishes in the 800 Free Relay. Wu, Roddy, Ji and Byrnes combined for a time of 1:42.68 to take third. Lloyd, senior
