LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins baseball was picked atop the Centennial Conference preseason poll it was announced this afternoon. The Blue Jays received all nine possible first-place votes to earn 81 total points in the poll.
 
The Blue Jays made their fifth College World Series appearance in 2021, winning the St. Paul Regional before finishing in a tie for seventh at the 2021 CWS. Hopkins finished with an overall record of 15-6 in the COVID-shortened season, winning the Centennial to earn the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA's. 
 
Franklin & Marshall grabs second-place in the Centennial preseason poll with 65 points. After sitting out the 2021 season, Swarthmore is projected to place third in 2022. Washington College and Haverford round out the top-five in this year's poll
 
Johns Hopkins will open the 2022 season on February 25th as they will host Cortland in a preseason top-five matchup.
