• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's fencing team wrapped up its regular season on Sunday at the Temple Invitational. The Blue Jays competed against four ranked opponents.
 
How it Happened
Hopkins took on eighth-ranked Penn in the first round, with the Quakers picking up an 18-9 win. The Sabre squad dropped a close 5-4 decision, with junior Sachin Mehta and sophomore Qilin Tong each winning two bouts. The Foil squad lost 7-2 and the Epee squad fell 6-3.

Hopkins then faced Stevens, its only Division III opponent of the day, and lost a heartbreaker, 14-13. The Blue Jay' Sabre (5-4) and Foil (6-3) squads won, while the Ducks took a 7-2 win in the Epee. Mehta and Tong again led the Sabre squad with two wins each, while sophomore Anthony Bae won all three of his bouts in the Foil.

The Blue Jays lost 20-7 to the St. John's Red Storm. Seniors Matthew Jacobs and Evan Lau led the Foil squad (4-5) with two wins each.

JHU then fell to seventh-ranked Princeton, 23-4, with the Tigers winning all three weapons. Hopkins wrapped up the day with a 20-7 loss to third-ranked Penn State. The Sabre squad lost a close 5-4 decision to the Tigers with Mehta winning two of his bouts to lead JHU.
