Lancaster, PA - After being named Centennial Track Athlete of the Week for his efforts in the 1,500 last week,
Arthur Beyer was at it again, this time posting strong results in both the 800 and 1,500 to earn a second consecutive Track Athlete of the Week nod.
The graduate transfer posted a new PR in the 1,500 last week and improved on it this week, finishing the race in 3:48.73 at the Bison Outdoor Classic. Beyer's time is the third-fastest in JHU program history. After an incredibly fast weekend all around in the event, Beyer sits in 11th-place nationally in the 1,500. Not done just yet, Beyer returned on Friday in the 800 where he ran the race in 1:52.22, good for 10th nationally. Former national champion Andrew Carey is the only JHU runner in history to post faster times in the 800 and 1,500 than Beyer.
Hopkins is set to host its home event on Saturday, the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational.
