BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins sophomore
Thomas Yu has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Yu went 3-0 at number one doubles and 3-0 at number one singles as Johns Hopkins clinched the top seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament. He lost a total of just six games in his three doubles' matches and did not drop a set in his three singles matches versus Gettysburg, Franklin & Marshall and Swarthmore. He earned wins over the third-ranked doubles team and fourth-ranked singles player in the Atlantic South region. Yu also tied the program record for singles wins (24) and total wins (47) in a season.
Yu is 24-5 in singles and 23-4 in doubles this season. He is currently ranked second in the Atlantic South in singles and seventh in doubles with sophomore
Daniel Ardila.
