BALTIMORE, MD – Twenty-one members of the Johns Hopkins men's swim team have been named to the 2022 Scholar All-America Team it was announced recently. In addition, Hopkins earned team honors with a 3.72 GPA this Spring, which is the seventh highest GPA in the nation. The Blue Jays led all divisions in the nation with 16 First Team Scholar All-Americans.
 
To qualify for First Team Scholar All-America honors, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and participated in the national championship. Second Team selections must have earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
 
Graduate student Matt McGough becomes the first swimmer in program history to earn CSCAA Scholar All-America honors five times. Seniors Jeff Vitek and Dylan Wachenfeld earn the honor for the fourth time, becoming the eighth and ninth swimmers to do so.
