Imani Ghosh won her singles flight while senior
Celina Liu and sophomore
Catharina Ausfahl won their doubles flight.
Ghosh picked up her first career win in the second round of the D flight. She beat Valeria Gonzalez 6-3, 6-3 and then defeated Christina Danford 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the finals. She picked up the D flight win with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Kashish Bote in the finals.
Ausfahl and Liu opened the C doubles flight with a 6-2 win over Haleigh Latta/Riley Smith. The pair then won 7-5 over Corinne Farid/Stella Ribaudo in the quarterfinals. Ausfahl and Liu punched their ticket into the finals with a 6-2 win over Hanna Elks Smith/Lauren Landstrom. The pair then won the draw with a 6-4 victory over Lana Brezanin and Hana McKinney.
In the A singles flight, graduate student
Mary Beth Hurley had a first-round bye. She then fell to Casey Accola 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (6). Freshman
Jay Xiao came from behind to win her opening match 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10). Shen then lost to Ribaudo 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (8) in the quarterfinals.
In the B singles flight, junior
Ali Bader lost her opening match to Maitree Rout 6-4, 6-0. Freshman
Kamila Wong beat Rebecca Stepleman 6-1, 6-1 in her first match. She then rallied to defeat Avery Hopkey 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (8) to advance to the semifinals. Her run ended with a 7-6 (2), 6-1 loss to Syliva Eklund.
In the C singles flight, freshman
Essence Wang lost to Parvathi Shanker 6-4, 6-2 in the opening round. Liu beat Abby Ackroyd 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (9) in her first match in the D singles flight. She then defeated Riley Smith 6-3, 6-2. Liu lost in the semifinals to Bote 6-2, 6-2.
In the E singles flight, senior
Emily Javedan opened with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Brielle DeRoberts. She then lost a close match to Hanna Elks Smith 7-6 (3), 7-5. Sophomore
Zoe Hsieh beat Madison McCarty 6-2, 6-2 in the first round. She followed with a 6-0, 7-6 (2) defeat of Bella Peters before falling to Elks Smith 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals. Ausfahl won her first match, 6-0, 5-7, 1-0 )6) over Kelly Barnes. Shen then lost to McKinney 6-3, 6-1.
In the A doubles flight, Hurley and Xiao had a first-round bye and then lost to Stepleman/Moghtader 6-3. Javedan and Wang also had a first-round bye. The pair then fell 6-3 to La/Garcia in the quarterfinals.
In the B doubles flight, Wong and freshman
Niamh Harding had a first-round bye. The pair then defeated James/Peters 6-3 and Shanker/Chaudry 7-5. Their run ended in the finals with a 6-3 loss to Dania/Dania. Bader and Ghosh opened the draw with a 6-0 win over Hagino/McCarty but then lost to Lee/Eklund 6-3.
