BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins senior Logan Falzarano has been named the 2023 College Sports Communicators Men's Soccer Academic All-American of the Year. Falzarano is joined on the Academic All-America team by graduate students Griffin Meyer and Ben Goodman.
 
Falzarano and Meyer were named to the First Team and Goodman was named to the third team. Falzarano earns Academic All-America honors for the third time in his career while Meyer and Goodman earn the honor for the first time.
 
Falzarano is the first player in program history and just the sixth in Johns Hopkins history to earn Academic All-America honors three times. He is also the 10^th player in school history to be named the Academic All-American of the Year.
 
Hopkins has now produced 19 Academic All-Americans, including 17 under head coach Craig Appleby. The three Academic All-America selections this season are tied for the most in the nation and are the most in program history.
 
Hopkins went 13-5-4 and won its 10^th Centennial Conference championship this season. The Blue Jays then advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling to fourth-ranked Middlebury 2-1.

• Three-time Academic All-American
• Started all 22 games on defense; totaled one goal and two assists
• Scored the game-winner in Centennial Conference Championship

• Two-time All-Centennial Conference
• 2023 Centennial Conference Tournament MVP
 
Ben Goodman (Gr.)
Major: Finance (Grad) / Finance & Spanish (Undergrad.)
• First Academic All-America honor
• Started all 22 games in the midfield
• Finished with two goals and four assists
• Scored the game-winner in the Centennial Conference semifinals
• Honorable Mention All-Centennial Conference
• 2021 Big South Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year; two-time Big South All-Academic Team
 
Griffin Meyer (Gr.)
Major: Global Health Economics (Grad.) / Economics (Undergrad.)
• First Academic All-America honor
• Played 18 games and started 16 as a forward
• Led the team with 13 goals and 28 points
• First Team All-Centennial Conference
• Second Team United Soccer Coaches Region V
• Ranked 2^nd in CC in goals and points
• 2022 Summit League All-Tournament Team, 2019 United Soccer Coaches All-West Region
