LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins women's track and field's
Mackenzie Setton and
Victoria Kadiri have been named the Centennial Conference athletes of the week following their impressive days at the Gotham Cup and Robert Comstock Cardinal Invitational, as announced by the conference this morning.
Setton kicked off the weekend with a second-place finish in the mile at Friday's Gotham Cup, crossing the line in 5:01.09. The sophomore's time was just over three seconds off her personal-best set a season ago and currently ranks as the 10
th-fastest time in Division III. Setton ended her day as a member of the Distance Medley Relay (DMR), which finished first by nearly 30 seconds with a time of 12:22.25.
Kadiri was next to take the stage in Saturday's Cardinal Classic, dominating the triple jump en route to her third win of the year. The senior took home first in the event, clearing 12.86 meters which ranks third in program history — Kadiri owns each of the top-10 spots — and is currently No. 1 in all of Division III.
The Blue Jays return to action this weekend to compete in the Patriot Games Friday, Jan. 26 and Saturday, Jan. 27.
