BALTIMORE, MD – Three Johns Hopkins men's swimming alumni have been selected to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
Jonathan Blank '81,
Timothy Collins '80 and
Doug Morgan '81 are among the class of 20 inductees.

Blank, Collins and Morgan join 1979 Johns Hopkins graduate
Bill Smiddy and long-time Blue Jay head coaches
George Kennedy and
Tim Welsh in the Hall of Fame. Smiddy and Kennedy were among the Hall's inaugural class in 2024. Johns Hopkins won three straight NCAA Championships in 1977, 1978 and 1979. Blank, Collins and Morgan were also a part of JHU's 17 consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships from 1971 to 1987.
"Johns Hopkins has an incredible swimming and diving history, and the induction of Douglas, Timothy, and Jonathan into the 2025 CSCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Hall of Fame exemplifies this legacy, said CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany. "This honor recognizes their exceptional talent, unwavering dedication, and significant contributions to the sport and to Johns Hopkins University. We are thrilled to celebrate their remarkable achievements as members of the CSCAA Hall of Fame Class of 2025."
Blank won a combined nine NCAA Championships in his career, which is tied for the most NCAA Championships by any athlete (male or female) in Johns Hopkins history. He won three titles each in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast and 400 Medley Relay. He set NCAA records five times in winning the 100 and 200 Breast and earned All-America honors 12 times. Blank received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in 1981 and was inducted into the Johns Hopkins Hall of Fame in 1996.
Collins won three straight national titles in the 1650 Free and at the time was just the third swimmer in NCAA Division III history to win an event three times. He set the national record in the 1650 in 1978 (15:49.97) and held that record until 1984. Collins also had national runner-up finishes in the 1650 Free (1980) and 400 IM (1979). He earned All-America honors 11 times and was the 1977 MAC Champion in the 500 Free. Collins was inducted into the Johns Hopkins Hall of Fame in 1998.
Morgan won a total of six NCAA Championships with two titles in the 200 Fly, one in the 200 IM and three in the 400 Medley Relay. He swam in 12 individual events at the NCAA Championships in his career and finished in the top four in all 12. He earned All-America honors 16 times his career, which ranked fifth in program history when he graduated. Morgan also won MAC titles in the 100 and 200 Fly in 1981. He was inducted into the Johns Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004.
