Jordan Carr has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week it was announced this afternoon. She is the first Blue Jay to earn B1G Defensive Player of the Week honors since Kathleen Garvey on May 3, 2022. This the first weekly conference honor of Carr's career.
Carr totaled seven caused turnovers, five draw controls, two ground balls and a goal in helping Hopkins to a pair of road wins in a three-day span. She caused three turnovers, picked up two ground balls and controlled three draws at 21
st-ranked UAlbany. She also scored a goal in transition in the win over the Great Danes. Carr followed that with two draw controls and four caused turnovers as Hopkins rallied to beat Siena.
Hopkins (2-0) returns to action on Saturday at 25
th-ranked Duke. Opening draw at Koskinen Stadium is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
