Jordan Carr has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Carr led the Blue Jay defense last week with eight ground balls, six caused turnovers and two draws. She totaled two ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw in a win over Georgetown on Wednesday. Carr followed that with a career-high five caused turnovers and six ground balls, along with a draw control, in a 13-10 win over #16 USC.
Carr leads the team with a career-high 16 caused turnovers. She is also tied for second with 13 ground balls and is third with 14 draw controls.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday as the Blue Jays host the Vanderbilt Commodores. Opening draw at Homewood Field is slated for 1:00 pm.
