Jordan Carr has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. She is the first Blue Jay to earn three B1G Player of the Week honors in the same season since JHU joined the league in 2017.
Carr led the Blue Jay defense with four caused turnovers, three ground balls and three draw controls in their come-from-behind overtime win at Rutgers on Saturday. Carr also handed out an assist in the win.
Carr leads the team with a career-high 31 caused turnovers. She is also tied for the team lead with 32 ground balls and is third with 31 draw controls.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday as the Blue Jays host the fourth-ranked Maryland Terrapins. Opening draw at Homewood Field is slated for 6:00 pm.
