NEW YORK, NY – The Johns Hopkins men's track team closed two days of competition at the Dr. Sander Scorcher on Saturday with several top 10 finishes across multiple events.

Highlighting the Blue Jay efforts were several exceptional performances in multiple runnings of the mile. Competing in the Invitational running of the event, graduate student
Lucas Rackers placed 23
rd in a field of 37, but crossed in a time of 4:09.83, a mark that ranks as the fourth-best in the nation.
In the Open Mile, junior
Emmanuel Leblond topped a field of 69 with a first-place finish in 4:10.06. Leblond's time ranks just behind Rackers' nationally at number five and he was joined in the top 10 in the event by freshman
Brady Ott (6
th/ 4:14.85) and senior Aidan Tomov (8
th / 4:15.06). Ott (24
th) and Tomov's (26
th) marks both rank among the top 30 in the nation.

The Blue Jay Distance Medley Relay Team of Tomov,
Fisayo Omonije,
Evan Kelly and
Rowan Cassidy jumped to the top of the national rankings in the event with a time of 10:10.85. The only Division III entry in a field of 10, the Blue Jays placed fifth with their Division III national-best time.

In addition to the mile, the Blue also got individual top-five finishes from junior Joshua Lee in the 400-Meter Dash (Open Division) as he clocked in at 51.21. Sophomore Alex Coletti added ninth-place finish in the seeded section of the event with a time of 50:03.

Rounding out Hopkins' top-10 finishes on the day was the 4x400-meter relay team of
Spencer Ye,
Alex Colletti,
Samson Dessalines,
Josh Lee, which placed second in 3:21.46. The mark currently ranks 16
th nationally.
