McCormack Announces 2026 Women's Lacrosse Schedule

Blue Jays Open Season at Liberty on February 7

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse coach Tim McCormack announced the Blue Jays' 2026 schedule today. The 16-game schedule includes nine home games and an eight-game Big Ten slate. The Blue Jays open the spring with a scrimmage versus Virginia on January 24.  Dates and times are subject to change, pending television schedules.

The schedule features eight games against teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including three against teams that advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals and one that advanced to the national championship game.  The 16 teams on the 2026 Blue Jay schedule combined for a record of 185-113 (.621) in 2025; 13 of the 16 teams finished with a winning record and nine of the 16 won 12 games or more.

After the scrimmage on January 24, Johns Hopkins will open the season at Liberty on February 7 to jump-start a run that will see them play six games in 22 days before the calendar flips to March.  The game against the Flames is the first of four straight for the Blue Jays against a 2025 NCAA Tournament team as a home game against Loyola (Feb. 11) is followed by road games at Duke (Feb. 15) and Penn (Feb. 18).  Johns Hopkins will close the opening month with home games against Georgetown (Feb. 24) and Colgate (Feb. 28).

The four-game homestand that starts with Georgetown continues into March as the Blue Jays welcome 2025 NCAA Tournament teams James Madison (Mar. 3) and Stony Brook (Mar. 8) to Homewood before opening Big Ten play at Rutgers on March 15.

A challenging three-game run of home games against Big Ten rivals USC (Mar. 19), Ohio State (Mar. 22) and Maryland (Mar. 26) will set up a month-ending visit to 2025 NCAA finalist Northwestern on March 29.

After playing seven games in 27 days in March, the pace will slow for Johns Hopkins in April with just three regular season games remaining.  A cross-country trip to Oregon on April 4 for a Big Ten game is followed by the final regular-season home game on April 12 (Michigan) and a visit to Penn State (Apr. 16) before the Big Ten Tournament, which will be hosted by Michigan from April 22-26.

The top seven teams in the final regular-season standings will qualify for the Big Ten Tournament with the top team in the final league standings earning a bye into the semifinals. The teams that finish second through seventh will play quarterfinal games on Wednesday, April 22. The semifinals are set for Friday, April 24 with the championship game scheduled for Sunday, April 26.
